The George Lab uses stem cell, microfluidic and computational technologies to develop 3D mimics of human organs, known as “organs-on-a-chip.” The lab specifically focuses on cancer (pancreatic, colorectal and breast), the cardiovascular system (perfused microcirculation, cariomyocytes) and the pancreas. Applications include enhanced understanding of biologic mechanism and drug discovery for diseases such as atrial fibrillation and Type-1 diabetes.
