Professor Ghiasi and his research group work on\u00a0design and optimization of embedded and programmable computing systems,\u00a0with an emphasis on streaming and\u00a0data analytic applications. The projects focus on several different aspects of embedded systems, including platforms, embedded software, compilation and system-level design automation. The systems are developed \u00a0to ultimately serve important\u00a0application domains, such as medicine, agriculture and cyber security.<\/p>\n
Current projects include synthesis and optimization of streaming software for execution on embedded multi-core platforms; design and evaluation of highly-parallel reconfigurable architectures for various data analytic workloads such as network measurement and computer vision;\u00a0and cyber-physical systems for monitoring and mentoring of physical therapy drills.<\/p>\n
