Prof. Robert Powell has been elected Councilor to the Association of Women in Science (AWIS) national governing board. AWIS is the largest multi-disciplinary organization dedicated to achieving equality for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). As a member of the governing board, Prof. Powell will help set the strategic direction and provide insight and leadership to the national organization, its chapters and affiliates.
