Research Interests
Weijian Yang’s research group aims to develop advanced optical imaging technology and novel miniaturized devices, and use these new tools to investigate problems in neuroscience and biomedicine. In particular, the group is interested in developing high-throughput optical microscopy for in vivo imaging and manipulation of neural activity. The group also devotes efforts in designing and fabricating implantable biomedical devices, with a goal of in vivo imaging, sensing and therapy with minimum invasiveness. Using the novel technologies, the group works towards understanding how neural circuit works and how the brain computes.
