In particular, the group is interested in developing high-throughput optical microscopy for\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0imaging and manipulation of neural activity. The group also devotes efforts in designing and fabricating implantable biomedical devices, with a goal of\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0imaging, sensing and therapy with minimum invasiveness. Using the novel technologies, the group works towards understanding how neural circuit works and how the brain computes.<\/p><p>The research in the group is highly multi-disciplinary, leveraging expertise in electrical and computer engineering, biomedical engineering and neuroscience.
