Accessing Library Resources off-Campus
A VPN client is used to create a secure connection between your personal computer and a network. If you use the UC Davis VPN client, then all of your web traffic appears as if you were on-campus. This allows you to access journal articles, technical handbooks, and other UC Davis library subscriptions. A VPN is also useful when you need a secure web connection, such as at coffee shops or when traveling.

New Internet Essentials customers will receive two free months of Internet service, which is available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month plus tax. Apply by April 30, 2020. Additionally, for all new and existing Internet Essentials customers, the speed of the program’s Internet service has increased to 25 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream.
