Research

My group’s long term goal is to resolve the physical principles by which cells sense and respond to mechanical  stimuli. Our research is broadly organized around two themes: (i) Biophysical studies of mechanical tension sensing in cells, and (ii) Bioengineering tool development. Our research has been funded by the NIH, NSF, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and the March of Dimes Foundation.
