My research aims to identify new paradigms in electromagnetic wave engineering from microwaves to terahertz and infrared frequencies, to provide unprecedented and tunable functionalities, and to enhance the performance of the different building blocks that compose modern communication and sensing systems. To this end, several research lines are simultaneously pursued, including:
- Graphene, black phosphorus and other novel 2D materials
- Time-modulated media
- Hyperbolic metasurfaces
- Non linear, non-reciprocal, and nonlocal metasurfaces
- Light-matter interaction
- Plasmonics
- Leaky-wave and resonant antennas
- Reflectarrays
- Terahertz science and technology
