Prof. Amirtharajah has been interested in teaching and understanding how students learn since high school, when he tutored fellow students in standardized test preparation. His current teaching interests span analog and digital integrated circuits, low power design, power electronics, and engineering problem solving. He is also committed to incorporating online learning and the flipped-classroom model in engineering education, where scaling to large enrollment classes is particularly challenging.
